Social change is affected with literature because it conforms people all in the same way to help make change. Literature can also be bad for social change when people start using it negatively and since there is no one saying its real or not, others can believe it and get the wrong idea.

Words and literature contribute to, and promote social change, by addressing and portraying social issues in such a way that is intellectually enlightening and relate able. They do it in such a way, that is just the right proportions of provocative ideas and rational thinking, to get the point across.
